Starbreeze won't be at the helm.
Speaking at its Comic-Con panel last week, Top Cow announced that a sequel to The Darkness video game is in development.
The first game was released by 2K Games and developed by Starbreeze, and despite a few problems delivered an impressive action experience with top notch production. The game saw players take on the role of New York hitman Jackie Estacado who could utilise the powers of The Darkness to rip apart enemies and perform all manner of other grisly acts.
The sequel won't be developed by Starbreese, though, with the studio boss Johan Kristiansson telling VG247 that it is instead working on two unannounced titles for EA.
Darkness fans might also be interested to hear that a live action feature film is also on the way, with Top Cow president Matt Hawkins stating that further details will be announced in the next few months.

It was actually these parts of the game that made it for me.
