Stephen Fung in talks to direct.
Kung Fu Cult Cinema reports that the recently revealed Stranglehold movie, an adaptation of the Midway Games third-person shooter, will feature a new storyline while retaining the action from the video game.
Writers have been hired (Jeremy Passmore and partner Andre Fabrizio), and Stephen Fung (House of Furty, Enter The Phoenix) is said to be in talks to direct. There are currently no details on casting.
The Stranglehold video game starred Chow Yun-Fat, who reprised his role as 'Hard Boiled' cop Inspector "Tequila" Yuen.
