The RoI just isn't there anymore, especially with all the issues you have on PC's and the disproportionate amount of product support required. All the games, including Crysis fly in this setup, I play Assssin's Creed in 1920x1200 with all the filters and detailed maxed out bye the .ini file and the game is always over 60FPS!!! This guy talks bllsh*t... the consoles don't are better of todays high-end pc's, there are not better of machine with a year old like mine... maybe the PS3, but shurely not the XBOX360 (wich i have and a lot of games, including the recent GTAIV present a lot of response lag and slowdowns). If they don't want to do a port for rentability or they are just lazy, suck it up, but don't say this kind of crap. (remember, they say the same about de FIFA 08 )[/b] Reply

Plenty of quality games that have not been designed primarily (sadly) for the PC, have been ported for the PC successfully by others. What makes all these mouthpieces sound even more retarded, is after they continue to state that there will be no PC version, one eventually shows up down the line. I just dislike LucasArts specifically because over time they've just become a crap house. I'm not even going to bother arguing about the console vs. PC holy war. To each his own. He says, that if they go and develop it for the high-end PCs, this will leave the low-end PCs to watered down experience (or non at all). If they make it for the low-end, this will look and feel like a PS2 game on PS3. And (that's what I understood from his comment about the PC divergence in hardware) it doesn't pay off to make it configurable to accommodate both. Besides, that's not the only game that doesn't come to PC. Sure, most of the others weren't ported to every gaming platform out there beside the PC, but that's the life. Anyway, I both PS2 back in May 2005 to play "Revenge of the Sith" and I haven't had the slightest regret. Now, I own a PS3 too, and can't wait for the damn game to come out! Reply

Its ok if we don't get this game, suck it up and move on. But, please don't feed technically savvy people some canned response that is a slap in the face. Today's budget PC of $600.00 USD has more advanced technology in it than either of the main consoles. My self built PC, of which I spent $700.00 USD, $350.00 of that on my video card dances circles around both consoles. So if your going to tell the PC community that they are not getting a game, at least be honest with them. I guess its back to COD4 and the Grid Demo. Reply

Developing on the pc isn't more complicated, than developing for the consoles. You don't have to put every little mhz and pipeline to work, because of the sheer power you have. You don't have to bother with the hardware that deep, their goal isn't a new Crysis just a game with nice graphics. On the other hand they need a complete new version for the psp, another for the wii, and the ps2, and a third for the x360/ps3 duo. The pc market is shrinking? Maybe, but Valve has 14million subscribers, and Sins sold many hundred thousands copies and this doesn't include online sales, all this without copy protection. The future for the pc is online retail. And last but not least who cares what problems they have, it would be their mission to solve them. If they can't or won't and rather talk bs, than deal with the consequences. Reply
