SoulCalibur 4 confirmed for August 1

Namco Bandai's visually impressive beat 'em up just a few months off in Europe.

Ubisoft has today announced that SoulCalibur 4 will release across Europe on August 1, 2008 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

For the first time in the series players will be able to take the fight online, allowing players to battle against the best fighters from around the world. Customised characters will also ensure all players can bring a touch of individuality to matches.

The character roster in SoulCalibur 4 features old and new faces, including Darth Vader and Yoda, the legendary Star Wars icons, plus the armour-clad fighter Hilde and two new characters from renowned manga artists and character designers.
