Says reported numbers are 'significantly overblown' and the game's install size is inline with other games.
Following a bit of an online uproar in response to reports that SoulCalibur IV for PS3 will require a 6.5GB install and will feature a 2GB save file, Namco Bandai has responded stating the reports are "significantly overblown".
"Those numbers are not accurate and are significantly overblown," a Namco Bandai rep told Kotaku. "The actual amount of space for the Soulcalibur IV install and save data file are inline with other games requiring this feature."
So far reps have not responded to reports that the Xbox 360 version of SoulCalibur IV will require a hard drive.
SoulCalibur IV is scheduled for release on Xbox 360 and PS3 across Europe on August 1, 2008.
