Standalone PS3 app for making purchases and interacting with the SingStar community.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced that the SingStar Viewer, a new app for PS3, is coming soon to the PlayStation Store.

With SingStar Viewer, SingStar fans will be able to browse and purchase from SingStore, and watch, rate and review uploaded video clips, photos and profiles in the MySingStarOnline community. All this will be possible without having a SingStar disc in the PS3.

Anyone with a PSN account will be able to download SingStar Viewer for FREE from PlayStation Store.

This is a very good idea.I hate having to plug in my mic dongle and load a disc just to buy the next 3 or 4 songs.
