Becomes the fifth fastest-selling Xbox 360 title and Lionhead's first All Formats No.1.
Chart Track reports that Fable II has entered the All Formats All Prices video game chart at No.1, with week one sales outselling that of the original game by 3.81 to 1.
The game has become the fifth fastest-selling game on Xbox 360 in the UK - behind GTA 4, Halo 3, FIFA 09 and Call of Duty 4 - and is Lionhead's first title to reach the coveted No.1 position in the All Formats All Prices chart.
AdvertisementUbisoft's Far Cry 2 has to settle for No.2 with the bulk of sales (43 per cent) on Xbox 360. The PS3 accounted for 33 per cent of sales and the PC 24 per cent. FIFA 09 follows at No.3 and last week's No.1, PES 2009, has a 58 per cent drop in sales and finds itself down to No.4. Saints Row 2 also falls a few places to No.5.
Elsewhere EA's Dead Space is another new entry at No.6, Midnight Club LA enters at No.10, Capcom's Moto GP 08 is new at No.32 and Activision's Spider-man: Web of Shadows makes a disappointing start at No.38.
The big hitters don't stop here, with Fallout 3, Red Alert 3, Quantum of Solace and several others likely to do big business.

That's pretty impressive for Fable II, considering it was only released on one platform and still beat Far Cry 2 which was released on 3 platforms. Makes me wonder if getting a 15 rating helped it (Far Cry 2 got an 18).
Nice to see Dead Space in there at no. 6, classy game, hopefully it'll pick up a lot more sales over the next few weeks.

how much fable 2 as be talked about i was/well you know it was going to be on top.
but i dont think il be getting this due to i aint played the frist one etc etc,but i always like it when i got games in the top 10.
