A game of blackjack will determine who takes charge.
According to Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi, it's likely there will be a new director in charge of the sixth game, but who exactly is still to be determined.
Asked at the Resident Evil Comic-Con panel about the possibility of a reboot for the sixth game, Takeuchi didn't respond directly to the question, but did reveal he most probably won't be in charge.
According to Takeuchi, he and fellow Resident Evil veteran Masachika Kawata are playing blackjack with a host of others to decide who will direct the next game.
However, it would seem neither he or Kawata are any good at blackjack, Takeuchi adding: "it doesn't appear as though either of us is going to be in charge".
Resident Evil 5 has been huge commercial success, although the reception from fans has been mixed, with many feeling the game strayed too far from the series' horror roots.

Make the 6th game so newcomers to the franchise can pick it up and play, and hopefully get the recognition its deserved.

Wesker is suffering from Onikageitis......you kill him, feel great that you killed one of the coolest bad guys ever only to see that he returns, not as cool as the last time but still brimming of awesomeness but as each game goes on you just shout at the TV "FFS! JUST DIE ALREADY!"Last edited on Fri 24 July 2009 by Bloodstorm
