Will be coming to Xbox 360 and PS3, but will arrive a bit later than in Japan.
Capcom has confirmed that a Resident Evil 5 demo, previously revealed for a December 5 Xbox 360 release in Japan, will be making its way to Europe and North America.
The good news is the demo will be making an appearance on both the Xbox 360 and PS3 (the Japanese demo is still only confirmed for Xbox 360), but sadly will be arriving a little later than December 5. Whether this means we won't see the demo this year isn't clear.
Capcom also confirmed that Resident Evil 5 has now been pushed forward in Japan and will now hit stores on March 5. The previously announced March 13 date remains for Europe and North America.

Because that would be too sensible.

Well localising from Japanese to English/French/German/Spanish etc is quite a bit of work...
Can't say i'm that bothered about this one. Played it at the EuroGamer Expo last month and it didn't do anything for me. Honestly it felt inferior after playing RE4 on Wii.

Looking forward to Resi 5, and it can easily match Resi Evil 4. Changing the language to English from Japanese isn't a tough thing to do at all, so I shall be downloading the demo when it hits the PSN :)

What's the point, it's exactly the same demo shown at Tokyo Game Show, E3 and EuroGamer:/
But it would be good to play in your own time, because playing at those conventions didn't feel right, in fact game plays hard.
By the way, change the damn name to Citizen Holy 5! It's no more Resident Evil, not even scary.
