THQ president and CEO Brian Farrell has revealed that Red Faction: Guerrilla has shipped over one million units worldwide.

Farrell added that the publisher plans “to continue to build this franchise by leveraging Red Faction Guerrilla's outstanding technology platform in the future”.

Commenting on the launch of the game, Farrell said: “We're delighted to have already shipped over one million units. Frankly, I think on the next generation of Red Faction Guerrilla we need to do a better job of creating day one demand. That being said, we do like the sales curve that it's been exhibiting which shows that quality and word of mouth and downloadable content matters.”

He added: “I'd give us a B on the launch of Red Faction Guerrilla. I think we did a good job, but I think we can do a better job with the next generation creating day one demand. As you know we moved the title a couple of times.”

Finished the game during the week. Really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to the DLC. I sometimes go on now again just to cause some havoc, and find the radio tag and mining the ore which earns you more salvage.
