THQ has said it will reveal the follow-up to Red Faction: Guerrilla later this month.

Speaking during last night's earnings call, THQ CEO Brian Farrell said that the publisher will do a better job at creating a demand for the game this time around.

"I think you'll see that in spades," said Farrell. "You'll see it in the way we unveil it later this month."

The focus won't only be on creating a buzz around the game, but also ensuring the sequel betters the experience offered by Guerrilla.

"It's got a new storyline; we think that was one of the weaker points [in Guerrilla]," Farrell said. "Red Faction's always been a technological showpiece, and we wanted to add production values in terms of story and environment this year. And when you see the new Red Faction, it's just a much more appealing game universe."

The game's scheduled for release during the publisher's fiscal 2011 - any time from now until the end of March 2011.

Can't wait, Red Faction: Guerilla's multiplayer was one of the funnest I've ever played. The destruction in this game was amazing can't wait to see how they improved it.
