Play Red Alert 3 cooperatively with an AI general

Red Alert fans can play the upcoming game even if they don't have any friends.

According to executive producer Chris Corry, the Red Alert 3 campaign will feature cooperative play even if you can't find a real person to play with.

"You will be able to go online, play with one of your buddies through the story-driven part of the campaign. Or, if you can't find one of your buddies around, you'll be able to enlist the aid of an AI general who has a distinct personality and will play alongside you," said Corry in Battlecast Primetime Episode 7.

Corry also offered further information on the enhanced Navy element in Red Alert 3, noting: "Navy is huge in Red Alert 3. It's one of those things... that people have kept at arm's distance for a while; personally I feel there hasn't been a good navy RTS since Red Alert 2. But we're going to change that with Red Alert 3."

There's no confirmed release date for Red Alert 3 just yet, but gamers will be able to get into the multiplayer beta by purchasing C&C 3: Kane's Wrath on PC from March 28. Each copy of the game will come with a unique beta access key. There's no confirmed start date for the beta though, with the beta key simply guaranteeing access at some point before the full game launches. You can find further details here.

EA also confirmed to VideoGamer.com today that there's no date set for the Xbox 360 release of Kane's Wrath, but it is coming soon.
