Sony: More PlayTV 'info in due course'

Platform holder is constantly working on enhancements.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has refused to confirm or deny reports that Sony Cambridge Studio is working on a follow-up to its PlayTV PS3 digital video recorder, instead stating that more information will be shared in the future.

A statement from SCEE read: "We are constantly working on ongoing enhancements to PlayTV and will provide more information in due course."

While generally well received, one drawback of PlayTV is its inability to receive the recently launched Freeview HD channels because of its incompatibility with DVB-T2. An updated version of the device would surely address this problem.
