I enjoyed FIFA for short while but for all its glitz and glamour there was something missing, P L A Y A B I L I T Y. Just doesnt cut it for me no matter what has been said. Having said this, Im not saying PES is too far ahead and I believe the game has regressed as Konomi have become lazy, the game seriously needs refreshing/updating, I mean even the player transfers have not been updated yet (yes I know there is a patch coming). Moreover the chants and commentary is worse than ever, but it still has that pick and play fun factor that FIFA is missing. Be warned though, FIFA is hot on the heals of PES. Reply

They're different kettles of fish and each offer their own take on the game, but neither is necessarily better than the other - it's simply a matter of preference (and hey, guess what, reviews are objective). But you HAVE to take the package into account when you review a game. It's all well and good saying that Pro Evo's silly licensing issues, terrible menus, awful music, poor match atmosphere and the like don't matter, but they do. Konami have peddled the same rubbish when it comes to presentation for years now, and you know why? It's because rabid fanboys like most in this thread sit around handing over their cash each year without complaining. Konami don't take steps to improve things because they know full well that the usual crowd would still buy the game if it shipped with a dog turd in the box. Until people break out of the ridiculous mindset that Pro Evo is just better because it is Pro Evo then it's going to carry on happening, too. Report Reply

Iv'e played pro over fifa for years and have now been playing pro 2009 for a week, completing the 'champs league' mode and starting the 'become a legend' mode. Gameplay is great and the new added touches are fantastic, ( eg - tricks with the directional pad etc) I went online the day i bought the game and it was shocking, i left it for a few days thinking they may fix problems with the servers and concentrated on the normal game modes. I have recently been back online to see that the lag is still present and is unbearable. I got rid of the last PES due to this and it looks like, once again, that the 2009 version will be traded in. Love the gameplay but online mode is like a kick to a ballsack, shockin! Reply

samwich3090	0 0 In response to Article » Go to 's original post Ok i have played pro evo for years brought all of them, they have lacked each year 06, 07 08 , 09 yes but then again the gameplay always makes up for it. I play Fifa i turn it off after 1 game, the passing is slow you feel like a snail going across the pitch yes the graphics are better and the visulations but accept for that Pro is the better game hands down there is no contest. If pro could do fifa graphics with that gameplay it would be the best football ever made. Hopefully 10 will be the lucky number when they finally get it right. BUT I WILL NEVER SWITCH TO FIFA 09 pro evo till i die Reply
