Syndicate dev buys Payday studio Overkill Software

Payday, P13 and Cold Mercury now part of Starbreeze's game library.

Starbreeze, the studio behind the not as big a hit as everyone wanted Syndicate, has announced its plan to acquire Overkill Software.

Overkill is the team behind popular squad-based FPS Payday The Heist for PC and PSN.

Starbreeze's shareholders must give their approval before the acquisition can go ahead.

The acquisition will bring Payday, P13 and Cold Mercury in to the Starbreeze library.
