MotorStorm 3 has less jungle, more apocalypse?

Off-screen images of what's claimed to be the next title in the off-road racing franchise.

French PlayStation 3 website, PS3Gen, has published what it claims are images taken from PS3 exclusive sequel, MotorStorm 3.

Besides the apparent confirmation of the game, what's most interesting is the location seen in the images; we're not looking at a desert, a volcanic island or the Arctic, but what appears to be a pretty messed up San Francisco.

Sony's said it doesn't comment on rumour and speculation, but E3 is now just a week away. Will MotorStorm 3 be one of Sony's major announcements at the trade show?
