Mirror's Edge 2 powered by Battlefield 3's Frostbite 2?

OPM says the Mirror's Edge sequel is the latest EA project powered by the internal engine.

Mirror's Edge is coming back and it will be powered by the hugely impressive Frostbite 2 engine, that's according to a rumour from OPM.

"The Frostbite 2 engine will pave the way for Mirror's Edge to make a free-running return," says the mag.

This isn't the first time the two have been seen holding hands; back in June EA Games Label president Frank Gibeau said, "you'll see that combination I'm sure".

Gibeau also said that EA was working on creating a "big idea" to bring back the Mirror's Edge franchise.
