Speaking to Kotaku, Metal Gear Solid 4 assistant producer Ryan Payton has denied earlier reports that Metal Gear Solid 4 features custscenes approaching 90 minutes in length.

"I'm surprised nobody has stepped forward to debunk this rumour," said Payton. "There are no 90 minute cutscenes in MGS4. The ending is long, but 90 minutes is a gross exaggeration."

Metal Gear Solid 4 will be released on June 12. Look out for our full verdict on the same day.

Apparently not. The end sequence is apparenly close to 90 minutes itself. I've yet to play it, still sat there. Tomorrow I shall start the final part of the Metal Gear saga. :)

I will be glad to see the back of MGS so i can concentrate on new projects such as my new biofuel startup i always sparked up when the pointless dialogue & cutscenes kicked off amongst my contempories.

As long as the dialogue isn't as pointless as a Michael Bay script, then it shouldn't matter how long the cut-scenes are.

I don't mind a long ending. Better an ending that leaves you satisfied than the typical short "probably a sequel" endings that you tend to get.

But how long are the cut scenes, how long is "long"?
