Sony Computer Entertainment America has announced that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be released across North America in late Q2 2008. This highly anticipated release will also be available as part of a new PlayStation 3 bundle, which will include an 80GB PS3, the new DualShock 3 and a copy of the game. This will carry a retail price of $499.
MGS4 will also include a Metal Gear Online Starter Pack, but eager gamers will be able to take part in a multiplayer beta beginning in April. Access to this beta is guaranteed to those who pre-order MGS4.
We've heard nothing from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe or Konami regarding the game or bundle's release in Europe. Konami has previously said the game will see a simultaneous worldwide release so we don't expect much in the way of a delay.
