Kojima Production's Ryan Payton has assured PS3 gamers that MGS4 will not be compromised by cross platform development.
Speaking during a Kojima Production podcast, Payton said: "I can tell you honestly at this point, we have not changed the game in any form with the idea of 'oh, we got to do this on 360.' Put aside whether or not we're developing for 360 or not, the game is built on the PS3 hardware."
Metal Gear Solid 4 is currently a PlayStation 3 exclusive, although there have been persistent rumours that the title will go multiplatform and also release on Xbox 360.
Current retailer estimates place the game for release in March 2008.

MGS4 360
That statement suggests MGS4 WILL come out on the 360, personally i think PS3 should keep it as i've never been a fan of the series.

Sony are going to seriously prey this stays exclusive :)
If I have the cash at the time this game will probably convince me to buy the system.
Of course, there's little chance of me having that sort of money any time soon unless I sell some internal organs, which I'd prefer keep to be perfectly honest. :/

Metal Gear Solid 4 isn't special
Metal Gear Solid 4 certainly didn't look like anything special when it was shown at the most recent Tokyo Game Show.
The disappointing lack of quality is probably the reason why Metal Gear Solid 4 has been delayed until 2008.
IF Metal Gear Solid 4 receives good reviews, I would consider purchasing it for the Xbox 360.
People won't consider wasting all of that money on the Playstation 3, just for a Metal Gear Solid game that has already been delayed twice because it continues to disappoint people.
You could buy 15 or 20 Xbox 360 games for the amount of money it would cost to buy a Playstation 3.
When you consider that the games released on both systems are always rated higher on the Xbox 360, and then you also consider that the Xbox 360 has far more exclusive games, it makes a LOT more sense to forget about the Playstation 3, just like most videogame fans have already done.
Xbox 360 is the best because it has the best software library; Xbox 360 has the biggest and best library of games.
