Advised to download the new update now before the beta goes live this weekend.
Konami has released an update for the delayed Metal Gear Online beta. We don't know what the update does, but with huge numbers of PS3 gamers expected to be accessing the beta over the weekend we recommend you download the update now in order to beat the rush.
The beta had been scheduled to begin earlier this week, but overwhelming user numbers put an end to that. 7am GMT on Saturday is the new go time, but after what happened before don't bank on it.
Metal Gear Online will be included with Metal Gear Solid 4, which is currently scheduled for release exclusively for PlayStation 3 on June 12.

My Review
I like most of you into gaming spend alot of time researching all current information of upcomming titles, Metal gear sold 4 has been one of which i am greatly interested in.
I have found the beta of metal gear solid to be very slow , i wish you coulld sprint in the game like call of duty 4. i was very interested into seeing what te graphics would be like , well nothing that amazing. They are good but up against Drakes fortune not even close. I just hope the main single player game looks better than the beta. The maps seemed very small and confined. did like the look of the footprints left in the mud as you walk through it (looked very good). The puddles also looked very sharp. The gameplay itself is good fun but you move to slow , overall i will be purchasing the full game as i believe this will be a very good title.
Enjoy
