The sequel to the hit Xbox and PS2 action game, which up until now has only been announced for PS3, could also be heading to Xbox 360.
When the game was shown at E3, it was notable for the absence of any attached publisher, and for the fact it was only announced for release on the PlayStation 3.
Now it appears that the game may indeed be heading to the Xbox 360. Speaking with a Pandemic rep, IGN learned that the developer's stance on bringing the game to the Microsoft console has changed somewhat since E3 back in May.
"There is a possibility of it coming to Xbox 360," the rep told IGN. "Right now, we have PS3 development kits and it's on PS3, and there is no announcement, but we're definitely considering Xbox 360. There is still a lot of time and we haven't ruled the Xbox 360 out. We'll have some news to announce in the next couple of months."
We'll keep our eyes peeled for any further Mercenaries 2 developments.
