antic2010masseffect2 -

EA and BioWare have announced that a Mass Effect 2 demo will be released for PS3 on December 22, giving PlayStation gamers the chance to experience the second game in the sci-fi trilogy one month ahead of the planned January 21, 2011 launch.

There's no word on what to expect in the demo, but the Xbox 360 post-release demo featured the following:

"Experience over an hour of action-packed and immersive gameplay from Mass Effect 2. As Commander Shepard, you must survive and escape from a Cerberus space station under siege. Then play through an intense mid-game mission where you must rescue an infamous convict from an impenetrable prison ship. Once you have completed the demo, you can carry over your progress and character into the full game! The demo also includes the Mass Effect "Story So Far" video, detailing the events of Mass Effect 1 narrated by Martin Sheen."

I don't know who in Sony thought shoulder buttons that curved the wrong way, would be a good idea.. Especially as they aren't a 'button' as such. Thats the only thing I dislike about the PS3 though, really. But at £3 you cant really say it was an expensive fix! :p

Cheers mate, but I've already got some. They do improve the it but they still don't feel as nice as the 360 triggers. You are correct though - they are an essential purchase I also make sure they are attached when I do use the pad.

For about 2.99 I got some "trigger" attachments off amazon. They give you a place to rest your finger on the lower shoulder button. Can't play without tbh.

Really??? I hate the PS3 pads shoulder buttons - the triggers are useless! I use my 360 pad on the PS3 every chance I can.

I'm really looking forward to playing this on the PS3. Fantastic game and I'm glad that PS3 only gamers can finally get to play it.

@mikejosh1978 - I believe it comes with all the DLC included on the disc - so pretty much a GOTY edition.

I'm happy to use either but do find the analogue sticks more robust on the 360 .
Does the Ps3 version have anything different ? Is it a GOTY like addition or is it basic 360 version with just the cerberus stuff already added?

Maybe he means the layout of the controller, or the controller itsself. Being a ps3 gamer messes up using a 360 pad IMO.

However, I can't wait to give this a whirl!! ^.^

The demo or the full game?

I should imagine they'll both be the exact same (excepting the interactive comic book in lieu of ME1) as the 360 version, no? No new mechanics or engine changes at all.
