LotR Conquest DLC out now

Heroes & Maps Pack includes two new multiplayer maps, two Hero Arenas and three new heroes.

Pandemic Studios has today announced the release of new downloadable content for The Lord of the Rings: Conquest on PS3 and Xbox 360.

The new Heroes & Maps Pack is priced $9.99 / 800 MS Points and features two new multiplayer maps, two new Hero Arenas and three additional heroes. The included maps will see players enter the hot lava fields in the Battle of the Last Alliance and the shady forests of Amon Hen. The new Hero Arenas are Minas Tirith and Weathertop.

With the addition of playable characters Boromir, the massive Gothmog and the powerful Elven Maiden Arwen, players now have over 20 characters to choose from.

Wow i thought to myself great another LOTR game, looks awesome and will be totally awesome, sadly being the LOTR Fanboy that i am i just outright bought the game. Big mistake, opps my bad right the positive things. Ok sure fun hacking up enemies, playing in the locations, playing as the heroes etc and yeah that's it really.But my anger and dissapointment is too great that point form is best here.(reason i could write an entire novel on this that's why!!! Titled "Why Conquest sucked") - In training mission Isuldir's whirlwind attack clones him firey Isuldir's WTF!! - Sauron the greatest evil that ever lived can be assassinated by a scout, the scout drops him on his ass in a second,even though Sauron is like 10 feet high WTF!! Dumb move people - Helms Deep there are 'cardboard cutouts' of Urukhai- hmmm real atmosphere there! Catapults rain firey projectiles down on you, hmm real authentic seeing how there were catapults in Helms Deep. - I played as Aragorn only to be killed instantly by a 'non-existent catapult' - Isengard, Wow i burst out laughing when a voice said in a worried way "IT'S SAURUMAN!",only to be shown a cutscene of an ill looking Sauruman looking like he could collapse at any moment. Also the voice over "getting up the stairs in the easy part..." WTF! Did you see Sauruman,he probably be dead by the time i got there! - Mines of Moria Gimli has satchel bombs WTF!!Out of everyone he should have a throwing axe! - You fall off the bridge like a thousand times - Osgiliath worst mission ever - Frodo is like screaming "You have to kill me to take the ring!" - so much for a word called 'stealth'I think Gollum and Sam were no where to be seen - perhaps having sex - also happily playing as Faramir only to be carried off by a Nazgul - sux when undo maybe when you're not constantly looking in the sky. Frodo gets carried off like this like crazy. Start all over again!! - After that it got boring, managed to play Pelonor - decent mission - however walking out of the battlefield got me killed, i think i blinked and i was no more. WTF! No time to even react. - played evil campaign - Nazgul an undead minion of Sauron was defeated in a second because of an orc warrior. They hit you once and like your paralysed and they keep going to you're dead. WTF! YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING,i put the controller down and made a cup of tea. - With the balrog it has serious targeting issues it couldn't even kill Gimli, not that i sucked , but because you swing your sword violently only to miss everytime, you have to manaully move the balrog into position, the fact that the balrog takes up the whole screen doesn't help either. - By the way who let the 'London orcs' out of Britain, seriously all you here is mindless banter from a pommy orc. - Got boring ... played Rivendell got totally annihilated by Legolas as Sauron, the elf is a Demon on steroids on crack, you don't stand a chance, he's like miles away owning you. - played the shire, got to play the balrog again only to be killed by treebeard WTF! Balrog took so much damage, secret is to go in the fenced area with the scarecrow, walk into the corner to get in and breath fire when treebeard is close, yeah wow i mean even the Balrog cower behind a gliched fence about 1 cm high and ents can't get through, to kill them. - got to play as Sauron, before i could scream "Die Gandalf" an eagle picked me up and throw me to neighbouring China, WTF! i decided to kill myself a lot to play as Sauron again, i thought this time nothing else can go wrong, i was WRONG! I decided to make an entrance by jumping over the bridge and smacking a hobbit with my mace, only to fall into like a '1 foot Stream of water'and die. Yes you heard it 1 foot of water bested the greatest evil that walked middle Earth. I Quit in quick succession. For the record i played all the campaign missions on Legendary. - played multiplayer only to realize how unbalanced it is - 4 letter word M A G E, this son of bitch class can destroy you in a second, in groups the class is a nigh unstoppable force of lightning, firewalls, shields, shockwaves oh yeah and healing.I Quit - This game has ok graphics i'd expect on the PS2, shonky gameplay, it's boring, repetitive, glitches, targeting issues many other issues and yeah. Basically fun for a while,until when you notice how shonky this game really is; which is like in the training mission where Sauron appears, from there as you've read; basically shocking. Reply
