LotR Conquest confirmed for Jan 2009

Pandemic's action game set is coming to Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Nintendo DS.

Pandemic Studios has today announced that The Lord of the Rings: Conquest is to be released internationally on January 9 for Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Nintendo DS. The game will be released in the US on January 13.

The Lord of the Rings: Conquest is a battlefront style game set in the Lord of the Rings universe of J.R.R. Tolkien as depicted by the Academy Award-winning films. Players will finally be able to fight the entirety of these epic battles in any way they want. In addition to crusading as the heroic forces of good, players will for the first time be able to conquer Middle-earth while playing as the legions of Sauron's evil army, including Cave-trolls, Oliphaunts, the Balrog and Sauron himself.
