LittleBigPlanet 2 misses 2010
Now set for January 2011.
Media Molecule has announced that LittleBigPlanet 2 has been delayed and will be released in January 2011.
"We've all been working like powered-up space ninjas and we're almost there, but because we love what we've made, and we love our little sack-friends, and most of all we love all our fans out there, we couldn't let you all get together until we knew we were giving you the best experience imaginable," explained Media Molecule. "Which is why we’ve taken the hard decision to delay the worldwide release of LittleBigPlanet 2, originally stated for later this year to January 2011."
MM added: "We are truly sorry, but hope you understand that we have to build the best possible game, as it is the foundation of our community.
"On the upside, we are going to find a way to give more of you a taste of LBP2 prior to launch, so stay tuned."
Sounds like we'll be getting a demo or an open beta then.

Anywho, I'm not disappointed at this news, even though I will be buying it after the amount of fun I had with the first. With friends and co-op.
Maybe that's why you got bored of it...?

Also, GT5 isn't out yet, so you can't really say that it's worse than Forza 3.

Shame MS beat them already with Forza 3 though. Only thing it has going for it is a track editor like.

The family you think will be out shopping this year are from TV adverts or a marketing man's perspective. In reality LBP2 won't shift consoles, it will sell the majority to the "core gamer" and maybe some to parents for their kids.

However families tend to buy prior to Christmas so their Kids have something to open on Christmas Day. After all a 6 year old isn't allowed to play 18 rated games. So when the kid has the option of PS3 with move and LBP2 that sells it to the family meaning increased console sales, move sales game sales. In January the game becomes less appealing to this market they won't rush to buy it at launch and may eventually pick up the game in the future at a knocked down price or they wait for the next big push at Christmas 2011 or buy a 360 and Kinect.
The markets have changed the so called Casual Gamer is the most profitable market.
