L.A. Noire News

For:PS3  Also On: Xbox 360PC Release Date: 20 May 2011

President of Games Developers' Association of Australia thinks it's coming to PS3 and Xbox 360.

We haven't seen or heard anything on Rockstar and Team Bondi's secretive L.A. Noire since the release of a teasing trailer way back in February 2007. At the time it was thought to be coming exclusively to the PlayStation 3, but this may no longer be the case.

Tom Crago, CEO of Tantalus and the president of the Game Developers' Association of Australia has said that the game is coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. He also said that the game has "got - I'd suggest - another year or so to go".

Although being an important figure in the Australian game development industry this is far from confirmation that L.A. Noire is coming to both next-gen consoles. Until we hear anything official from Rockstar it's probably best to take this as a fairly well sourced rumour.

Yeah, I would have to agree with John on this one. I do not recall this game being specifically announced as PS3 exclusive, and anyways its RockStar, after how well GTA4 sold on Xbox 360s enormous US installed user base,,it would pretty much be financial retardation to not release LA NOIRE on Xbox 360,,game looks great so far,,I hope those Aussies pull it off!

It only makes sense to develop on both or all platforms? you make more money. simple. you can`t blame studios for this especially in todays economy.

I may be wrong but i've never actually seen it mentioned as PS3 excluse, i think that had been assumed as early on it was listed for coming out on the PS3 and not mentioned in the same breath as the 360, however i thought it was a bit of a giveaway when Team Bondi advertised for 360 programmers and i don't think they'd turn much of a profit selling to just the PS3 user base, especially if it's rating limits it's audience as well.
