According to an unnamed CVG source, Sony will launch Killzone 3 this Christmas as part of a major push for 3D gaming on its PS3 console.

The game is also reported to utilise the PS3 Motion Controller.

Earlier this year PSM3 magazine said that Killzone 3 info will be released in the "coming months" - a little vague, but if correct solid details could be on the way very soon.

Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 mate not 3. And I can't wait for Killzone 3 to be honest, 2 was pretty darn awesome.

As for motion control and Killzone 3... It'll be awesome if they release a gun that has an insert for "the gem." Killzone 2 is one of the best shooters of all time. Anyone looking to buy a PS3 MUST add KZ2 to the collection.

A year and a half to make a mega-blockbuster title, adding 3D AND motion control: two very new techs for the system? No. Just no. If this isn't delayed at least a year it will be rubbish.

Seems a little early. Especially if it is to be the quality that KZ 2 was.

Lets face it if they are aiming for this Christmas then it will more than likely be the middle of next year if not the following Christmas that it will actually appear.

Am still maintaining no kz this year. socom 4 and a resistance I think 3 shooters at the end of year would be stretching it.

I just hope it doesn't get bogged down and ruined by gimmicks - I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next - loved the ending on KZ2.
