Killzone 3 is in 3D

Not mandatory, but is said to add a lot to the experience.

According to a preview in Gamepro, Killzone 3 is very much in development and promises a host of new features over its predecessor.

The headline grabbing addition is 3D, suggesting Killzone 3 will form part of Sony's push into the 3D marketplace. As expected you'll need both a 3D TV and glasses, meaning the functionality will be optional, but according to the mag, very worthwhile.

If you're not 3D-enabled then there's still plenty to get excited about. Bungie's Halo: Reach isn't the only upcoming FPS to feature jet packs. Guerrilla's Killzone 3 will sport strap-on flying machines too.

For me, she hit the nail right on the head, and entertained me whilst doing so. I lol'd the first time I heard the car engine as all I could think about is that it was probably what a bear sounded like having a wank.

Still am it was the ultimate poor review from a person who seems so far detached from the genre that it was unreal.

There are other low review scores but all justify their scores and read as they are scored, some by amateurs some by veterans but none read as terribly as hers and miss the mark by the width that hers did. Like shooting from six yards and hitting the corner flag. Nothing but a cynical bitch.

Lol I will. But my instant response to that would be colleagues sticking together. Most people won't publicly criticise a colleague unless you work at Videogamer and even then they won't flat out call someone a retard for their views.

Can't really remember most of your post on the EG review thread but I do remember you wanting Tom Bramwell to review it, he spoke about it on their podcast and agreed with her. It's an interesting and a dull listen, but I suppose after reading 22 reviews about Alan Wake listening to a few minutes discussion about the game surely would be right up your street.

I'm pretty much in agreement with "that woman" from Eurogamer in regards to Alan Wake so I would take her word for it. Though it wasn't her who done the preview.

I just hope it's not forced throughout the game to be used and just makes the game a difficult experience, hoping it's going to be used cleverly and appropriately.

As for online? I haven't played online in awhile which is starting to feel a little overdue. The community is great, great clan and competition support to keep the game alive.

Well, I think the devs time would be better spent tweaking the gameplay from KZ2. I personally really liked it, but a few have had a go at it by saying it didn't do anything new or revolutionary, which it didn't but was still very good.

I'm the jet pack won't be used too much though throughout the campaign which is all I'm concerned about. Wouldn't mind giving the KZ2 multi player a try at some stage in the future, read on another forum that it still has decent community support.

Yeah I totally understand, it seems to make more sense to have vertical gameplay when you can actually see your character, but maybe that's the exact reason why they are doing it, to brake boundaries even if it minuscule.

This gameplay element opens up exploration in a sense where it would have been deemed improbably. However, i'm thinking a lot of map glitching arising now though.

Still though, I think I'd still prefer no platforming elements in my FPS games to be honest. They're fine in 3rd person but not so much in FPS. Still, will reserve my final judgement until I play it next year it appears.
