Top 10: Things that will make Kane & Lynch 2 great

Our suggestions to IO Interactive on how to make the sequel a great game.

I can't remember a game causing as much controversy as Kane & Lynch where the issue wasn't the obscene content. At no time was the game going to be banned and it was never cited as a training tool for murderers or anything of that sort, yet the game made headlines for weeks. More important to gamers was the quality of the game, which didn't really live up to expectations. With Eidos all but confirming a sequel after the publisher announced sales of over one million units, we thought we'd put together VideoGamer.com's Top 10: Things that will make Kane & Lynch 2 great.

10. No stupid boss battles.

Certain sections of Kane & lynch were, to put it mildly, damn annoying. Take the ridiculous scene in which a giant construction truck rolls in and you have to target the driver as it targets your puny head with its giant tyres. I can't have been the only one who felt like giving up here and never loading the game up again, so insane difficulty spikes need to be completely removed from the sequel.

9. Better checkpoints.

There are few things more annoying than being forced to replay sections of a game over and over again, especially now that it's more than possible to allow gamers to save whenever they feel like it. I'm not demanding that the sequel allows us to save anywhere, but at the very least the checkpoint system needs a thorough re-think and plenty of playtesting.

People still play still are playing kane and lynch online, so that right there shows that there are people who like the game.

Unfortunatley, IMO, there are too many good games out there to waste time playing a bad game just because it has some good ideas. A good idea is only any good if it works.

It wasn't terrible it had real good ideas, If you played the online fragile alliance that is a great ideas. even if the game is bad you don't though good ideas away. but this game was alright. they definitely should make another one, and they are.

costume characters with genders male and female, and face scan. Be able to put on mask if you want and be able to buy gear like suits camo and ect.

they can fit the squad some what by making you be able to tell every body to go to the same spot with one button , and still be able to tell them individual were to go. plus they need to be smarter because they don't stay in cover.

the storyline was good, the next one should have more multiplayer modes, epsicially if people dont have xbox-live. they should have it so u could play agianst poeple on your own counsule, or when the game uses system link. Also there wasn't anything wrong with the cursing. It's rated M. plus thats the personality of the characters. U wouldn't want the people saying they were better in part one....Although it was a great game, hurry up with the sequel

Lynch Lover

Hey this is just so great that they are making a sequel. It had such a good story, and I love the way it felt like you were in an action movie. I especially like the huge dance club in Tokyo. Shooting bouncers across masses of dancers and having mass hysteria break out, and sometimes accidental shooting innocent people that just got caught up in the crossfire, with Lynch cussing up a storm and playing mind games with you. It is the best visual level of the game.
They can still improve on the controls and have the guns feel more like the guns in "Call of Duty 4" or even "Rainbow 6 Vegas". The cover mechanism should also be improved. The next one should involve Kane's daughter, she can be a trained mercenary who you can choose to play as. They should have a level where you go to Vegas and you shoot up The Luxor and then have the fight follow you as you make your way to the MGM diagonally across the street. Then the action can continue into the Studio 54 and then all the way to the Garden Arena during a concert. They could also include a Streets of San Francisco level where you shoot up the enemies from the back of the Van. It would be pretty cool to see the hilly and curvy road behind you while the sun is setting as you drive through the Bay Bridge or Golden Gate. They really have the potential to make this game a Perfect 10. Only time will tell.

if they do make one, which ending will it continue with

i think they should continue when kane leaves venezuela with his daghter and then for the sequel lynch like comes to his front door and beats the crap out of him and starts using less language but then they rea lize that the7 had more members that were higher ranked than the other brothers then hey go after them.

i like the the aiming system and cover system, the AI could do with tweaking and it just needs greater polishing before release and it will be a perfectly good sequel.

Maybe some more robbery orientated action instead of fighting in havana and the jungle

I agree with like maybe 3 or 4 things...first of all stop bein a little church boy bitch about the "swearing" your a big boy now and it makes the game more intense and believable sorry crazy people swear lol duh..you want lynch to be like gosh darnit that dummy shot me. better graphix, aiming, and cover system and the game is perfect...online is ****in sick..maybe just a more customizable character hmmm?
