Ted Price happy with Sony marketing Resistance as a way to sell PlayStations.
In an interview with US technology website VentureBeat Insomniac chief Ted Price said that it is focusing on the PS3 and the "leading edge" this generation, quashing the suggestion that the independent studio might make an Xbox 360 game.
When asked by VentureBeat whether he had an urge to move to other platforms, he replied: "No. There are always opportunities, since we are independent. But for this generation, we are focused on the PS3 and the leading edge."
He added: "Would you really double or triple your money by doing that? The answer is possibly. It depends on the publisher, the quality of the game, and if you can pull off multiple versions of games with the same level of quality. We haven't been set up to do that. We've been focused on PlayStation technology for a long time. If we were to make that jump, it would take a lot of planning. Right now, we see the other side. If you have a strong publisher who is marketing your games as a way to sell the hardware, then you get a lot of exposure. The sales of "Resistance: Fall of Man" have done very well worldwide, including a lot of fans playing online."
Price also denied that Insomniac's recently opened satellite studio in Raleigh, North Carolina, was working on an Xbox 360 game, saying: "We aren't saying what they are working on. But we have said they are using tools that we have developed here in Burbank to make games."

Yes finally a game dev team who have seen faith in the PS3! No more crappy ports from the other consoles.
Pure PS3 power is making its way! :D MGS4 and now RFOM2, this is just the beginning!
P.S PS3 owners will no longer tolerate bitchy comments from any xbot's fanbot's. We will make our stand for what we believe is good quality gaming! FFW!

Insomniac are a good team. It's nice to see commitment from them to the PS3. Just look at R&C Tools of destruction. Resistance 2? Well, lets just wait and see, but it's gonna be good.
@God Bless. you're very right. lots of ports have been nothing but half-assed garbage just look at the madden debacle.
