Speaking to Develop, Home game director Peter Edward has revealed that in hindsight Sony feels it should have announced Home at a later date.
"It's gone through waves. Initially, there was real excitement from people, because we were showing something really different and that had a lot of potential. And then there's the realisation that, well, we probably announced it too early - GDC 07 was a long time ago," said Edward. "I think there was sort of recognition amongst developers of 'Oh, this is interesting, but there's still a lot of work to be done.'"
Edward added: "The feedback we've been getting is that, in the early days, it was a bit thin on the ground in terms of support and tools, but now it's mature and everybody's starting to produce some really interesting stuff."
Edward also noted that the possibilities for Home are "pretty vast". What would you like to see in Home? Let us know in the comments section below.

Here's an idea: There is a KILLZONE 2 room on HOME. It's only accessible to people who bought KZ2. KZ2 owners can talk and setup skirmishes in the room. Compare stats and share ideas. There's a VIP section of the KZ2 room dedicated to veterans. You have to get the platinum trophy to enter the VIP room.
The reason its KZ2 owners only, is it filters out spammers and haters. It also encourages people to buy KZ2.
So far HOME is a social club with different environments. It could be so much more.
