Admits it would be a rare occurrence for such a title.

Sony Computer Entertainment of America CEO Jack Tretton has revealed he believes Heavy Rain will sell "incredibly well", despite history suggesting such a game will struggle to gain a strong audience.

"I spent 25 years in this industry, and it's rare you see a game that sells incredibly well and that impresses you," Tretton told Fast Company. "But when you go, 'Wow! That's the type of game I've never seen before!' And I think Heavy Rain falls into that category. I don't even now how to classify it or describe it. I read a review that said it's the next stage of reading the book. You don't have to be a gamer at all. I think if you read a book, unless you read the chapters in reverse order, the story is pretty much going to be the same. But with Heavy Rain, depending on what you do, you are going to get a different outcome every time."

We certainly hope Heavy Rain is rewarded with commercial success. See why by checking out our spoiler-free review.

Certainly hope it sells well. It looks good, which will sell to a lot of people, but for those discerning enough to know they like shooting things (my eyes are rolling right now) it will be overlooked as "bro, dude what's this *****? washing up? gimmie a break dawwwg"

It will relatively sell by the bucketload. The Sony fanboys are fapping at the prospect of something to hold up that looks good and only appears on their system and the hype machine has been forcing it down their necks for the past month on every form of advertising there is.

Never mind that its just a pretty game with constant quick time events and multiple paths or the fact that multiple endings were done years ago on the pc with Deus and Blade Runner. Just watch the fanboys stick their fingers in their ears and go "la-la-la" while they lap it up.
