Heavy Rain handed BBFC 15
Contains strong language, violence and sex.
The BBFC has classified upcoming PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain as suitable for anyone aged 15 or over, stating the title contains "strong language, violence and sex". The BBFC website also states that the game passed with "no cuts made".
"The video game was classified on its level of violence and detail," a BBFC spokesperson told IncGamers.
"It's not uncommon for people to die in video games and a lot of video games have death in them. People are always being killed in video games."
Reacting to why the game was not given an 18 rating, the spokesperson added: "These are obviously not real people, or real people acting, and it all depends on the level of blood and violence. We use the same classification for games as we do for films, and this game is suitable for a 15 audience."
Heavy Rain is expected for release early this year, although no firm date has been revealed by Sony.

With the 18 certificate they obviously can expand the violence. Gruesome deaths but how they are done like most 'serial killer' dramas are mainly about which keeps the viewer entertained. Not saying the game should heavily focus on the violence but the characters is what making this game stand out more and appealing.

I don't know whether I wanted it to be an 18 or not.
Part of me likes the 18 certificate, but if it's a good game, it's a good game regardless.
