God of War track heading to Guitar Hero III

PS3 Guitar Hero III players will be able to rock out to a free God of War track on June 5.

Shacknews has spotted something interesting included in a PlayStation Underground email from Sony. According to the email, a God of War inspired song will be released for Guitar Hero 3 for PlayStation 3 on Thursday, June 5.

The track will be free to download, but there's currently no info on which song it is.

This isn't the first time Guitar Hero III Players have been treated to tunes inspired by popular video games. Late last year gamers were offered a free download of the Halo theme for the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero III.

We're currently waiting to hear back from Activision regarding the song's availability in Europe.
