GTA maker amends its words.
Rockstar North has amended a job advert that called for environmental artists with "the skill to get the most from next-gen consoles".
The listing now reads:
"We'd like to hear from the industry's most talented environment artists. You will be designing, building and texturing the world and have the creative and technical knowledge to achieve the highest quality results within budget."
It's probably best not to read too much into all of this. The original use of "next-gen" might have been misleading, or Rockstar could be changing the text to avoid further scrutiny.
Whatever the project is, I'm sure it has been unaffected by a minor change of wording in a job advert.
** Original story follows **
Rockstar North is looking to hire environmental artists with "the skill to get the most from next-gen consoles".
An advert on the publisher's official site asks for "advanced skills in one or more of the standard industry 3D packages".
Unsurprisingly, there are no clues as to what the actual project is. I'll leave it to you to speculate, as it could be pretty much anything.
Rockstar is putting the finishing touches to Max Payne 3, due March 16, with Grand Theft Auto V to follow at a later date.
