Take-Two has announced its entire release schedule for the current financial year, CEO Strauss Zelnick has said, meaning there won’t be any new games from Rockstar until at least April 2017.

It also means that the leaked BioShock Collection, which was rated by the ESRB last month and other territories in the months preceding, may not be due to release any time soon, either.

Instead, the publisher will only release five new games during its current financial year, including the previously-released Battleborn, plus this autumn’s Mafia 3, Civilization VI, WWE 2K17 and NBA 2K17.

“Just to clarify, we’ve announced the entire release schedule for the year and that’s what you should expect our release schedule to be and that’s what our outlook is based on,” Zelnick said during the firm’s Q4 2016 earnings call last night. “Any changes would be performance based largely.”

Rockstar is, however, working on some “exciting future projects that will be revealed soon”, Zelnick added, leading to speculation that a new Red Dead could be in the works. Take-Two has previously said that it will be at this year’s E3 “in a big way”, too, suggesting it could have some announcements in store.

Whatever they may be, though (and unless they’ve slipped Zelnick’s mind), don’t expect them to release until spring 2017 at the earliest.
