Rockstar denies new GTA in 2009

'No truth' in reports that a fully-fledged retail game will be arriving this holiday.

Speaking to Kotaku, a Rockstar rep has denied reports that we'll be seeing a fully-fledged GTA title released at retail in time for the holidays, stating there is "no truth" in the reports.

The rumour stemmed from Game Informer, which states within its "loose talk" section that Rockstar Games is readying a new GTA title - not more DLC - to be released this holiday season.

Next for the GTA franchise is The Lost and Damned GTA 4 DLC for Xbox 360 and Chinatown Wars for Nintendo DS, scheduled for February 17 and March 20 respectively. Xbox 360 owners can also look forward to a second DLC episode before October 31, 2009.

Their are rumours that it will come to ps3 but thats all they are rumours

DLC = Downloadable Content. e.g. The Lost and the Damned is an add-on for Grand Theft Auto IV that you can download to your XBox 360 via XBox Live Marketplace.

you never know what could happen. Rockstar at great at keeping secrets. Look at Vice City. They have the engine and the structure. Just wait and see.
