Gran Turismo 6 development to be quicker than GT5's
Polyphony Digital won't have to create an all new game engine.
Gran Turismo 5 is yet to be released, scheduled to debut in Japan on March 31 2010, yet series creator Kazunori Yamauchi has already revealed that the wait for its follow-up will not be nearly as long as the five years between GT4 and GT5.
"To make Gran Turismo 5 we threw away the legacy code from GT4 and started from scratch. It's been five years from [the release of] GT4, and that's the same amount of time it took to develop the first GT4. To create a game from scratch, that's the amount of time it takes to get it right," Yamauchi told autoweek.com.
Yamauchi added: "You won't have to wait as long as you did for GT5. GT5 represents a whole new operating system. GT6 is just new apps that run on the GT5 system."
Regarding the game's release outside of the Japan, Yamauchi revealed that it's Sony's marketing plans that will determine when the game is released in the West.

Now i'm just an average gamer but he's a telematrist for a pretty decent motorsport team, and he says Forza has the most relaistic handling. He's rich and has both systems and basically says GT used to have it all but Forza has surpassed it and for me you can't get better endorsement than that he didn't think much about GT5p either.
You may think i'm making this up but I'm sure Richard will confirm my case.

I think GT still has the better handling out of the 2, Forza feels very safe and you never feel like you're going to lose it even when pushing it very hard, also the back button kinda kills some of the excitement. That's probably to make it more accessible though which is a good thing to some extents.

How ever I cant wait for GT 5 i love that series and it is yet to disappoint
Though one flaw with Forza is the install on disk 2but that is just the DVD format showing its age.
In topic, I hope it is a lot quicker lol xD like many have said 5 years is a long time regardless of how epic it is lol

Exactly! No point calling them monkeys seeing as it's not as if you can do what they do. So don't challenge their intelligence for taking longer for being more ambitious than the Forza Team.

Clearly you didn't understand my point. I could write an essay for a week and be an Einstien on the subject you may take 3 months and be very good but that doesn't mean that because you speant more time on something it's better. Lets not forget how hard it must of been for the developers to get to grips with the new code.
