Gran Turismo 5 misses 2009

Will be released in Japan in March 2010.

Contrary to rumours, Gran Turismo 5 will be released in Japan in March 2010, and while there's no word on a Western release date the blockbuster racing franchise has always launched first in Japan.

The news comes from Sony Computer Entertainment Japan's Tokyo Game Show press event which took place overnight.

So what does this mean for European racing fans? Previous titles in the series have launched in Europe several months after Japan, meaning a late spring/early summer date could be on the cards.

I would rather time was spent doing it right then time wasted and rushing a release. Report Reply
