God of War 3 potential makes Fallout 3 dev feel faint

Reckons Final Fantasy XIII looks fantastic, too.

We're all looking forward to God of War III on PS3 here at VideoGamer.com. Our fearless leader Tom is especially excited by the prospect of taking Kratos on a Cell processor powered adventure through Hell. But it seems there's one person in the world who's more excited than everyone else, and that's Fallout 3 lead producer Gavin Carter.

Speaking on the official PlayStation website, Carter said he was most looking forward to upcoming instalments of PlayStation series that haven't seen a true next generation debut, and chief among these is God of War and Final Fantasy.

He said: "Everything I've seen on the new Final Fantasy games has looked fantastic, and I feel faint when I think of the potential of a PS3 God of War game."

High praise indeed, especially when you consider it's coming from the lead producer of a game that for many was the best of 2008.

Basically Kal youhave just said what i did about MGS4 and churned it out the other way. Halo 3 is now a year and 3 months old with sales close to 9 million and rising. And of course GOW2 has already out sold MGS4 in the 2 months compared to 7 months of MGS4. Now gears 2 campaign has some cutscenes but all make sense and enrich the gaming experience.It just seems MS4 was trying to be a movie with retarded comments and in depth to the nth degree information. Seemed like a cnet blurbe not a video game. Any way don't get me wrong the PS3 has some awesome games but as of yet the only standou game shooter wise is yet to come Killzone 2 is looking great. Played the beta online at a mates the other day bit buggy but still a good game. Good thing with this Beta is I know they will resolve the bugs if not before release but certainly after. Not a fan boy but nothing that the PS3 has at the mo excites me more than anything on the PS3 only exclusive game i have respect for on the platform at the moment is LBP.As i think it's great.

To get back on topic I hope this game to be living up to it's hype. So many peole have given it the thumbs up and wow factor that it has to be delivered at a high standard. It was the hype of Haze which killed it. A truely dreeadful game or was it? It was a middle of the road game and as it was over hyped became one of the biggest if not biggest flops of 2008!

Now I know your an xbox 36turd fanboi and know nothing more than that. The last time I checked, Gears 2 was the same crap with "Oh, look! Chainsaw duel" with the same nonsensical BS storyline. If it wasn't for half the media world being MS's bitches, Gears 2 would've ended up with an average of 7. And don't even get me started about Halo 2.5

What i said was that it was a flop. Not in sales retrospect. It did not live up to its Hype. Its a middle of the road game and doesn't compare to half the games on either the PS3 or 360. It has piss poor playability and the only reason sales are so good is because it belongs to part of a family of games that have rocked.

Sorry this new installment sucks ass. If there wasn't so much hype and bull sh*t about the game then it would probably get an average rating of 7/10. Lets be honest Its no LBP, Gears 2, HALO 3, L4D or GTA IV. Sorry to be so blunt but it's over hyped garbage that in my eyes and many others demanded 10/10 ratings rather than deserved them. Even on this site the game got a 9. Yet a gameplay score of 8 I think thats a little generous. But any game where gameplay is an 8 certainly doesn't demand a 9! Simple!! Don't get me started on the 400 hours of nonsense cutscenes the game would take 10 minutes to complete without them. LBP is full of glitches and gameplay is bad but that doesn't stop it being fresh. And deserved of a 9 score. Starting to think the poor programmability of the PS3 is to blame.

KARLIUS i think you need to do some research on MGS4 world wide sale number's before you ever again use "MGS4 FLOP" in a sentence again. then you said MGS4 didn't have no hype or didnt live up to it dont make me "LOL" i think you need to check the ratings MGS4 have a average of 10s.

I bought a PS3 because of many things, but on the top of the list why I bought this black shiny peace of hardware is because of God of War, and I'm not obcessed on how it will look, I just want to finish the story, I wouldn't mind if I had to do it on a PS2, I just want take the character to his final desteny! Olympus!

It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. With a burst of energy matter waiting to propell form my trouser snake into my pants to make them all warm an goeey. Or in reality i just can't wait to see whether all the hype will be duely just or will it be another flop like Haze or MGS4 now you may say MGS4 is no flop but sorry it aint anywhere near as good as the hype which means oh dear flopsie same as Haze or Too Human.
