GfK ChartTrack reports that EA's 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa has entered the All Formats All Prices UK video game chart at No.1, ending a four week run for Ubisoft.

Despite its lofty position, 2010 World Cup can barely hold a candle to the huge launch week figures of FIFA 10, recording just 14.6 per cent of that game's launch week total. The PS3 version accounted for 48 per cent of sales, Xbox 360 47 per cent and PSP/Wii made up the remainder.

Capcom's suped-up re-release, Super Street Fighter IV, has to settle for second place, despite its close to budget price point.

Ubisoft's Just Dance slides to No.3, but a sales dip of only five per cent sees it jump above Splinter Cell: Conviction which drops to No.4 - a 37 per cent decline despite the release of the PC version.

GTA: Episodes from Liberty City is at No.5, Wii Fit Plus and Wii Sports Resort each recorded a sales increase and placed at No.6 and No.7 respectively. Bad Company 2 drops two places despite a seven per cent sales increase, Modern Warfare 2 managed a 42 per cent week on week sales bump, and the God of War Collection closes out the Top 10.

The only other new entry of note is SEGA's Iron Man 2. The movie tie-in begins life at No.20.

Friday's big new release is Sin and Punishment 2: Successor of the Skies. The Wii exclusive action sequel will attract a certain type of hardcore gamer, but whether or not it has the appeal to launch an assault on the Top 10 remains to be seen.

The game's gotten some amazing reviews to be fair, so I'm not too surprised.

I find that with supermarkets a lot that not all stores have the offers. Deff had Fifa for £24.99 as I went to find a replacement battery and was on the shelf. Morrison's had it at £24.99 too. Not sure about tesco.

No I'm pretty sure it was £39.71 from midnight, I went in early to buy SSFIV and it was that price at my local Asda. I think even £35 is a little too much but for £25 I would definitely buy it as I dont have a football game anymore. Also I dont want to buy Fifa 10 again... especially with Hull City now being relegated I'd rather play as international teams and forget about this season haha :)

It should have been £24.99 @ Asda on Friday it was at my local. Same at Morrisons. Cheapest now is £33.99 http://www.thegamecollection.net/fifa-world-cup-10/ or if you haven't done this already there is this deal for £27.99 I used the same deal friday to get Planet Earth Blu Ray for £12.99 http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/66961...7-99-xbox-360-

This is always a good place to start:

Did they not sell it at midnight for a lower price like they did with Fifa10, I went over on Friday morning about 10am and the shelves were empty with just an out of stock sticker beside it.

Quite impressed it's sold so well.

It was £39.71 on Friday morning and still is, the lowest price at the moment is around £35, no retailer has lowered the price yet.

I don't know about other Asda's but my local had it at £40 on release day and when I went shopping yesterday it was still the same price.
However they did have SSF4 for under £20 I considered getting it but then I remembered how crap I am at SF4 and didn't bother.

Does anyone know what price Asda were selling their first batch of Fifa for? On friday the store near me was completely sold out and had the RRP back up, I'm guessing around £25 or so.

Thought SSFIV might have got top spot this week with it's pretty low price everywhere but then again Fifa always does well.
