The God of War movie is to be rewritten, with screenwriting duo Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan brought in to do the job, according to Hollywood Reporter.
Melton and Dunstan found fame by penning four instalments of the Saw movie series, before writing a spec for Monstropolis - something which caught the eye of Guillermo del Toro, who brought the pair on board to help develop upcoming blockbuster Pacific Rim.
Pacific Rim revolves around humans fighting off an alien attack by piloting giant robots.
That sounds like a decent background for a team set to write a film about fighting mythological beasts and titans.
While the Saw movies aren't exactly known for their amazing scripts, Pacific Rim is generating a decent amount of buzz. Hopefully the God of War movie won't end up being another video game to film dud.
