God of War Collection heads to PS Store

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced that the God of War Collection - HD revamps of God of War and God of War 2 - will be released for download from the PlayStation Store on November 3.

The two games will be sold as a pair for £23.99 or individually at £13.99.

Originally released on PS2, the highly acclaimed action titles have been updated with high definition visuals running at 60 frames per second and newly inserted Trophies.

The original Blu-ray release was good value, but should you have ignored it first time around now's your chance to pick up two classics from the PS2 era and enjoy them on your HD television.

You're still better off picking up the Blu-ray edition for £16.99.

They haven't really got to grips with what digital distribution means, other companies like Valve have got it dialled however.

I guess people must buy it at that price otherwise they'd not offer it. People are stupid.

It's a shame because it stops digital distribution really taking off. I'd download these if they were priced reasonably, but I'd rather have the disc for the same price let alone less - ditto with the GTAIV episodes. Oh well, more games for my shelf!

Why oh why do they always overprice the Digital Distribution! At least with the hard copy I can buy on ebay for £15 I can play it and then sell it after (probably for £15 again!)
