FFXIII EU announcement Friday 3:30pm

Will take place on the European PlayStation Blog.

Antonio Marfuggi from the Square Enix brand team has made a post on the European PlayStation Blog confirming that a Final Fantasy XIII announcement will be made on the blog this Friday.

"Just dropping you a couple of lines to let you know something big (and with “big” I mean “BIG”!) is coming up about Final Fantasy XIII," wrote Marfuggi.

He added: "… you’ll see a very special announcement from the game’s development team, introduced to you on this very blog by the words of Yoshinori Kitase – Final Fantasy XIII's producer."

The game's official website confirms 3:30 pm GMT as the time of the announcement. While there's been plenty of speculation that Friday will be the day Square Enix confirms the game's European release date, the fact the announcement is being made on the official PlayStation Blog could indicate something else is afoot. Perhaps news of a European playable demo for PlayStation 3.
