Will arrive 'a little later in the West.'
According to a translated interview with Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase, Square Enix will support the highly anticipated RPG with post-release DLC.
"We did prepare a DLC but it will arrive a little later in the West," Kitase told OPM Benelux.
Kitase also revealed that Square Enix had considered adding content to the Western version of Final Fantasy XIII, but decided the additional development time and consequent delay wasn't worth it.
The game's scheduled for release in the US and Europe on March 9.

FFXIII and Wake are at two different spectrum of the gaming market. DLC is DLC. On average a FPS/TPS/Adventure game will take around 6-8 hours for an experienced gamer. Resident Evil 5 took me 5 hours took others days. I hear UC2 is 8-10 hours. But there is a high replay value with both these games. An RPG has an average of 20 - 30 hours + gameplay. Mass Effect 2 has DLC announced at what can be a 30+ Hour game is that bad?
FFXIII will be mammoth and DLC will extend the gameplay as will the DLC with Alan Wake and Heavy Rain.
My question is why Speculate on Pure Speculation?

Final Fantasy is likely to have a longer (say around 40 hours) existing game on the Disc for the same price as AW and then if you still wanted more you could buy the DLC.
Of course before anyone says anything the info about Alan Wake are just rumours so all this could be a mute point
