The Buzz: Possible that European and North American gamers won't see FFXIII until 2009.
The latest issue of Game Informer magazine suggests that the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XIII is currently nowhere near completion, describing the title's current state as "a mess".
There's nothing in the magazine to back up these claims, but if true it spells a disaster for Western Final Fantasy fans. The magazine expects the game to hit Japanese stores no sooner than the end of 2008 and with localisation expected to take a further year, it'll be late in 2009 before the game finally makes its way to North America and Europe.
This could explain the game's notable absence at E3 last week, but it's hoped Square Enix will show something at the Tokyo Game Show later this year.

worrying news
as a long-standing fan of the series, this is somewhat worrying, although like the story says there's nothing to back up the Gameinformer claims. More info needed methinks
