What we've been playing this week.
Tom Orry, Editor - Fat Princess, PS3
There's something a bit wrong about Fat Princess. I'm not denying the game is fun - it is - but a game mechanic built around having to feed a princess until she's morbidly obese feels a little dirty at times. Even though she cries out for more of the cakey goodness at regular intervals, it still feels a bit wrong. It's all part of the game though, so feed her with cake I did, so much that it took a small army for the enemy team to carry her the last time I played in a multiplayer session. I can already picture the free ad-supported DLC, with popular fast food chains offering new maps in which you have to feed the princess their own food. KFC Kingdom, McDonalds Market, Burger King Borough, Pizza Hut Palace…
Wesley Yin-Poole, deputy editor – Fallout 3, Xbox 360
I have a confession to make. I’m an Achievement whore. Not properly or anything. Just a bit. And it’s only with one game – Fallout 3. I’ll never get all of them, of course. I’m not prepared to pump another 140 hours into the game just to get the Achievements for getting to certain levels with Evil and Neutral Karma. I’m after the realistic ones – getting all 20 Vault Boy bobbleheads, giving that nutbag in Girdershade 30 bottles of Nuka-Cola Quantum, and killing all five Super Mutant Behemoths. I’ve killed all the behemoths, I’ve hunted down all the Quantum, now all that remains is the bobbleheads. I CAN, AND WILL, DO IT! BUT WHY DO I CARE?!
James Orry, News Editor - Football Manager Live, PC
After a nail-biting final day, the Juicy Danglers managed to stave off relegation from the Premier League by a mere two points. A season of hardship and struggle bore little in the way of positives, with the only glimmer of light coming from the fact Tom's The Noirs failed in its efforts to finish outside of the drop zone [Sad Face]. Hopefully the addition of a few senior pros in close season will help strengthen a team of talented, but inexperienced players.
Sebastian Ford, Video Producer – The Secret of Monkey Island SE, XBLA and PC
So it was only the demo - I did want to buy the full version but I’m low on Microsoft Points right now. Also, I have to confess that I’ve never played Monkey Island before at all, but have wanted to try it ever since my interview with Voice Director, David Collins, at E3 this year. You don’t get much time in the demo, but the humour is quite infectious. I spent most of the time comparing different scenes from the original to the remake, and was pleasantly surprised to see just how well the new skin and audio work fits in over the original. Of course, it takes a passive eye to see past the fact that the animations are still very basic for a high definition remake, and there are some irritatingly long gaps between the dialog in places too, but other than that it’s an excellent and very funny experience. I’ll grab this once I’ve got some more Xbox 360 dollar and bury my face in it.

Brawl - this game is all about kickin' ass and takin' names!
Rock Band 2 - definetely not as good as I expected.
Guitallica - a hardcore GH gamer's dream. As expected though, I can only manage half of the songs on Expert.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz - Don't ask why I have this; as I expected it was a piss poor game.
Disaster: Day of Crisis - a nice surprise with a lot of good presentation - but suffers from some flaws, especially the stop-start gun fights.
I've been playing alot this week. :D

I tried to play GTA IV again. Just simply cannot get into it. I've had Resistance 2 since launch and haven't really played that either. So I'm going to try and play that tonight. I did do that with the first Resistance and that was enjoyable. We will have to see where it goes, or there is Fallout 3 which has been on my mind.
Too many to choose from!
Why can't Batman: AA come out now :(
RocknRollaToaster
Also been playing Battlefield 1943 a tiny bit.
I also started playing Fallout 1 which is awesome!

Agreed. Some of the puzzles are just insanely difficult. I played it with the missus, and we spent half the time staring at the DS with absolutely no clue what to do.
Wonderful, wonderful game though.

Professor Layton and the Curious Village on DS. Just awesome, but OMG SO HARD in places.
Street Fighter IV. And losing! Although I did finally bother to unlock Seth.

Burn Zombie Burn - with my friends
GTA4 - just to mess around on, you know jumping out of cars at stupid speeds...
Burnout Paradise - for the trophies
i might go back to Resistance 2 or Killzone 2 to mix it up a bit from what i have been playing but GTA 4 has been the funniest this week for me, what with all the epic deaths that have occured.
Little Big Planet - because i was bored and wanted to see if i can obtain the infamous 150 community level plays...really they should have a counter to show you how many community levels you have played!
