Guys i hate to be a noob but i never played anyfallout game, whats it all about? I read reviews and seen gameplay but still not educated enough. lol

fallout is the most badass game out there. it will kick your azz. it is the best. i will kick your azz if you dont think its the best.

This game looks epic. Doesnt sound as long as Oblivion,(another epic game) but Bethesda is bad ass when it comes to imagination and, what imma like most about this game, gore:) Good thing they kept that disturbed mindset at times too ;)

I racked up 200 hours in Oblivion, I'm now on my second playthrough of Fallout 3 (specifically to finish off the few achievements remaining, I'm on the XBox 360 version) and rapidly approaching the 140 hour mark, I'd estimate another 100 hours or so of exploring to do and on top of that I'm already planning how I'm going to build my character for the 3rd playthrough.
I'm still discovering new things to do, e.g. the first playthrough I didn't really use scoped weapons much, today I discovered the joys of aiming with the left trigger and blasting Mole Rats into little pieces from 300 yards with a Reservist Rifle before I'm even spotted. (Think of sniping in any FPS, it works pretty much the same way).
I've only used the Minigun once or twice but found it great for ripping through Mirelurkers, mind you it used up 250 10mm rounds when VATS could have conserved about 210 of them, but I got a bit carried away :)
I'd hate to think how many hours this could chew up on the PC version if you get into it, there are a few mods available already to extend your gameplay.
Epic indeed. Very spooky in places too, worth every penny.
