ShackNews reports that D3Publisher plans to release a Matt Hazard game for Xbox LIVE Arcade and PSN this summer.

The "classic" title will further flesh out the history of the fictional video game character Matt Hazard, who is making his first video game appearance in Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard on PS3 and Xbox 360 next month. The new downloadable title is described as an action-adventure game.

Hazard's fictional video game back catalogue includes The Adventures of Matt in Hazard Land, A Fistfull of Hazard, Conflict of the Deities, Matt Hazard 3D, Goonzilla Versus Mega-Matt, You Only Live 1,317 Times and Choking Hazard: Candy Gramm.

Why would you invent a game series that dosn't exist? Pointless, and the "new" game looks crap as well.
